1) How will Fleet-Track Save me Time and Money?
Fleet-Track is an off-the-shelf fleet maintenance system that is very
easy to use. In no time at all, you can have your fleet data entered into
Fleet-Track because the fields are pre-defined and easy to identify. The
purpose of Fleet-Track is NOT to enter superfluous data. Vehicles are
identified quickly and linked to appropriate PM schedules. Creating the
inventory database is equally as easy and quick. By helping you track
you vehicles, PMs, unscheduled repairs, and inventory, Fleet-Track saves
you both time and money.
2) Will Fleet-Track Allow me to Design my Own PM
Schedules?
Fleet-Track allows up to ten maintenance categories (PM schedules) for
each vehicle. The user can define each PM, estimate the time and cost
of completing the PM, and when to be alerted that a PM is coming due.
Part kits can be created and assigned to the individual PMs.
3) How can I see my “In House” Repairs Separate from
my Outside Repairs?
By clicking on the “Enter/Edit Inside Repairs” button, Fleet-Track allows
the user to create work tickets for all in house repairs. Purchase orders
for outside repairs are created by clicking on the “Enter/Edit Outside
Repairs” button. The Vehicle Cost Repair History option maintains a summary
of all repairs, both inside and outside, for each vehicle or for all vehicles.
4) Does Fleet-Track have a Parts Inventory Module?
Yes, Fleet-Track has a fully integrated Parts Inventory module. There
is no additional cost for this. It includes a parts inventory database,
vendor database, parts inventory categories, and optional part kits.
5) Does Fleet-Track have a notes field for entering
details about vehicles and PMs or repairs?
Fleet-Track’s Vehicle Condition Report (VCR) is used for writing notes
about specific vehicles. You can enter any type of note here including
vehicle condition, a list of items to be checked during the next maintenance
appointment, accident details, etc. Notes in VCR are saved by vehicle
number and the current date. Additionally, PM and repair tickets have
a notes section called “additional work instructions”.
6) My Mechanics like to have Inventory Items Grouped
into Repair Kits. Will Fleet-Track do this?
Yes, Fleet-Track allows you to group parts into kits and then link these
kits with scheduled PMs for individual vehicles or multiple vehicles.
7) Can Fleet-Track Help me with my Inventory Tracking?
Fleet-Track’s parts inventory database has fields (“Reorder threshold”
and “reorder quantity”) that help you maintain an appropriate level of
inventory. Fleet-Track also tracks the parts that are linked to open repairs.
The inventory exception report notifies you when a particular part number
has less parts in stock than has been designated in the reorder threshold
field.
